The wines I'd pour with burgers

All your favorite burger types, and the wines I recommend pairing.

Unless you’re like my father, who looks at a holiday like the Fourth of July as an excuse to embark on a culinary adventure (this year it’s paella!), I think it’s safe to say that a majority of the country will be asking the same question around dinner time: “Burger, or hot dog?”

I do think hot dogs deserve their own post with wine pairings, but today to celebrate America’s upcoming 250th birthday, I’m pairing burgers with some of my favorite wines. Not just the average burger though, because I’m sure there are a few vegetarians and non-beef eaters reading this. I’m also including four other popular burger styles that you’ll likely see, whether it’s on a menu or being throw on the grill at home.

Each burger has its own wine pairing, and I throw in a bottle recommendation for each one in case you’re not sure what to get.
