Ah, the holidays. The never ending gift guides and Black Friday sales that somehow extend throughout the month of November. The constant heartbeat of buy, buy, buy that makes you feel like you’re already behind on your holiday shopping, even before Thanksgiving has yet to hit. It is the most magical time of the year…and the most exhausting.

As you might have already picked up, I’m not shy from letting you know that there is a lot of crap out there that you don’t really need when it comes to enjoying wine. Yes, even as a sommelier, I’m aware that there are a lot of gadgets and gizmos out there meant to make your wine experience at home that much better. But in reality, there’s really only a few wine tools you need. When it comes to glassware, you don’t need a dozen different shapes. Just one will do.
